After spending several years conduction musicals on Broadway, including Grease, JosephÉ and Song and Dance, David went to Hollywood where he was the conductor and vocal arranger on the Disney classics Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Pocahontas and The Hunchback of Notre Dame. This led to DavidÕs writing music and lyrics for DisneyÕs
Aladdin and the King of Thieves. As a record producer, David started his own company, MIDDLER Music Records and wrote for and produced all of the late, great Nancy LaMottÕs CDÕs. DavidÕs songs have been sung and recorded by Luminaries such as Diana Ross, Barry Manilow, Petula Clark and Lucie Arnaz. His review, Listen to My Heart-The songs of David Friedman, had a recent off-broadway run. It has been performed in eight American cities as well as in London.
