Group Class




All classes are for BOYS and GIRLS. The class size is limited to 8 in each class.
Classes for preschool, kindergarten are 45 minutes.
All other classes are 60 minutes except for acting classes and Shakespeare class on Monday evening which are one and a half hours. Final performances will be on Saturday, June 7 and Sunday, June 8.

Musical Theatre Workshop Classes

1st & 2nd Grades-Mon: 4:00 or Tues: 4:00 pm
3rd & 4th Grades-Mon: 5:00pm or Fri: 4:15 pm
5th & 6th Grades-Mon: 6:00 or Fri. 5:15pm
7th & 8th Grades-Mon: 6:00, Fri: 3:15
If you love to sing, dance and act, you'll love this musical theatre class.This group class works on scenes, songs and dances from different musicals giving students the opportunity to work with other musical theatre actors. Incorporating vocal, acting and dance skills. This class will have a workshop perfomance for guests at the end of the semester.

Performance Voice Class with David Friedman (2 Hours)
7th-12th - Saturday:11:00-1:00
David Friedman, composer and Disney music director, will help to make you the performer that you want to be. His method of instructing will help instill confidence and create a performance that is open and believable. (Students must being studying with a voice teacher from the Conservatory.)

Group Voice Class (45 Minutes)
1st & 2nd Grades - Thurs: 4:45
3rd & 4th Grades - Thurs: 4:00 or Wed:5:00
This is a fun singing class to begin on the road to good healthy vocal production. In a small group of 3-5 students, they will use Rodgers and Hammerstein and Disney songs to sing indiviually and iwith each other to create a special singing opportunity.

Fairy Tale Theatre (45 min. class)
3 & 4 years old-Wed: 1:15 or Fri: 1:15
4 years old & Kindergarten-Wed: 2:00, Fri: 2:00
Kindergarten - Thurs: 4:00
Includes creative movement and song, pantomime, imagination games, vocal expression, role playing, dress-up and story book musical workshops. Each child will explore their imagination as they create adventures from their favorite fairy tales.

Acting Techniques (Hour and a half)
5th & 6th Grades-Thurs: 6:00
7th & 8th Grades-Sat: 1:00-2:30
High School-Wed: 6:00-7:30 or Sat: 2:30-4:00
These classes include physical warm ups, relaxation techniques, theatre games, acting techniques, vocal skills, text work, and movement in preparation for monologue and scene study. A final presentation will be given at the end of each semester.

Improvisation (One Hour)
3rd & 4th Grades-Tues: 5:00
5th & 6th Grades- Tues: 4:00
7th & 8th Grades-Tues: 6:00
High School-Tues: 7:00
Say 'yes!' Improvisation will teach students how to successfully 'make it up as you go.' Students will participate in a wide variety of improvisational exercises and learn how to create great scenes through 'saying yes', object/environment work and strong clear character choices. A main focus of the class is on the importance of agreement and working as a group to make great Improv, and theatre, happen.

Jazz Theater Dance I
3rd & 4th Grades - Wed: 4:00
A beginner class for elementary school students that focuses on developing fundamental jazz skills and techniques. Students will explore the exciting and expressive nature of jazz dance within traditional and contemporary musical theatre.

Jazz Theater Dance II
5th-8th Grades - Wed: 5:00
An intermediate class for middle school students that will focus on continuing to develop jazz skills and techniques as they work on dances that are creative and fun. Students will explore the exciting and expressive nature of jazz dance.

Jazz Theater Dance III
High School - Wed: 6:00
A intermeidate class for high school students that will give them the tools they need to audition for musicals. With an emphasise on skills and techniques that stem from ballet and jazz.

Broadway Styles (Jazz and Tap)

5th-8th Grades - Tues: 5:00
High School - Fri: 6:15
This dance class focuses on jazz and tap technique in conjunction with various Broadway styles of dance. Learn dance steps to the different time periods from various Broadway shows.Learn all of the skills of tap and jazz to get your feet moving to different show tunes and songs from the 30's and 40's. Be ready when you want to audition for Anything Goes and 42nd Street. Learn how to quickly pick up steps and patterns in a combination while also improving your performance and individual expression. The class will not only help you with your dancing, but with your auditioning as well. Take this class separately or add it to your singing and acting class and you will be a triple threat!

Broadway Babies (45 min. class)
4 and 5 years old - Mon: 4:00 pm (Creative Dance/Tap)
)This class is a creative movement class for children using beginning dance skills that are fun and imaginative. Begin to explore how the body moves in fascinating ways to music from your favorite Disney and Broadway show tunes.
