David Friedman

Instructor: Vocal Performance, Voice.

After spending several years conduction musicals on Broadway, including Grease, Joseph and Song and Dance, David went to Hollywood where he was the conductor and vocal arranger on the Disney classics Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Pocahontas and The Hunchback of Notre Dame. This led to David's writing music and lyrics for Disney's Aladdin and the King of Thieves. As a record producer, David started his own company, MIDDLER Music Records and wrote for and produced all of the late, great Nancy LaMott's CD's. David's songs have been sung and recorded by Luminaries such as Diana Ross, Barry Manilow, Petula Clark and Lucie Arnaz.

His review, Listen to My Heart-The songs of David Friedman, had a recent off-broadway run. It has been performed in eight American cities as well as in London.  David has coached hundreds of professionals and students on how to be positive, confident performers.

David teaches vocal performance workshops for all private voice students as part of their semester classes at the Conservatory.
