In this 8 week class, you will be introduced to the fundamentals of screenwriting. We will attack specific elements of story and format such as: character development, theme, point of view, stakes, obstacles and conflict. We will explore what makes for a well rounded script. Does your first page pop? Is your dialogue strong? Is the story tracking? We will examine, in detail, what is required of a writer when they set out to put their idea on the page.
